Speech and Language Therapy resource library launches at 成人直播
成人直播 (成人直播), Edinburgh is delighted to announce the launch of its Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) resource library, which is now available for use by students, staff, graduates and the wider SLT community.
This refreshed collection of specialist resources has been made possible through generous donations, enabling the purchase of new assessments and other therapeutic speech and language materials.
The resource library supports 成人直播鈥檚 commitment to providing its students with the best, most up-to-date resources to support their learning and clinical practice, both now and in the future.
In the year that 成人直播 celebrates its 150th anniversary, the launch not only raises awareness of this specialist resource amongst the wider community of speech and language therapy educators and collaborative partners, it鈥檚 the first 成人直播 event, in our year-long celebrations, which marks our milestone anniversary.
The University was delighted to welcome a range of highly respected practice educators and service leads to the launch on 6th February to view the many resources within the library. Amongst the special guests was Debbie Jans, a retired speech and language therapist and practice educator who gifted a copy of the CODES framework for use within the library.
"We are very proud to have such a valuable speech and language therapy resource available to our students. 成人直播 remains one of only two universities in Scotland offering pre-registration Speech and Language Therapy degrees, and this development demonstrates our continuous efforts to improve the student learning experience at 成人直播. The students are delighted to have all these resources in one accessible place so that they can prepare both for their practice-based learning experiences, and to be the clinicians of the future."
Dr Mack concluded: 鈥淚t has been a pleasure to bring staff, students and partners together to celebrate the collection, and to mark such an important time within our institution鈥檚 history. It鈥檚 150 years since our institution was established, and 50 years since The Edinburgh School of Speech Therapy joined 成人直播. Over the decades, we have delivered outstanding teaching and conducted world-class research which has made a positive impact on thousands of people鈥檚 lives in the UK and internationally. We have much to be proud of, and we know that the resource library will continue to allow current and future students to improve communication and support participation for years to come.鈥
