³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ Hosts BBC Radio 4 Political Debate Programme ‘Any Questions’

The BBC Radio 4 political debate show ‘Any Questions’ was broadcast from our Halle Lecture Theatre in March 2014.

A man and a woman sat at a debate panel, the man is pointing towards the microphone in front of him.

The programme host, broadcaster Jonathan Dimbleby, was joined by a select panel which included Helena Kennedy QC (eminent human rights barrister and long-time Labour member of the House of Lords); Angela Constance MSP (then Minister for Youth Employment in the Scottish Government); Baroness Annabel Goldie MSP (leader of the Scottish Tories from 2005 – 2011); and Michael Fry (writer, historian and supporter of Scottish independence).

An excited crowd - made up of ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ staff, students and guests; political party members; and the general public - listened to the debate, with some posing questions to the panel members. Former PR lecturer, Emma Wood, kicked the show off with the first question. It was a live broadcast and is still available on .
